Canada has always been a magnet for immigrants from all over the world. Indeed, its immigration system, renowned for its efficiency, regularly opens the doors to thousands of people eager to settle in this country of many opportunities. With this in mind, on August 2 Canada organized a special session of the Express Entry programfor French-speaking candidates.

The Express Entry program: a gateway for French-speaking applicants

On August 2, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (RCRC) sent invitations to 800 candidates through a targeted Express Entry draw, reserved for those with a good command of the French language. To be eligible for this session, a minimum CRS score of 435 was required.

As you can see, this program is of particular importance to French speakers wishing to immigrate to Canada. Not only does it offer a chance to enter the country, it also enhances their French language skills - a major asset in a country where French is one of the two official languages.

In addition to this special session for French speakers, the Canada has recently organized several other Express Entry. On August 1, for example, 2,000 applicants were invited to an Express session Entry for all programs, with a minimum CRS score of 517 required. This marked the first such session since July 11.

Between July 4 and 7, invitations were issued for four consecutive days, a first in the history of Express Entry. Targeted selections for candidates with professional experience in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) also took place. L'Express Entry: how does it work?

Express Entry is an application management system that oversees the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

Candidates are evaluated on factors such as professional experience, occupation, language proficiency, education and age. They are assigned a Global Ranking System score and ranked alongside other candidates in the application pool. Candidates with the highest scores are the most likely to receive invitations to apply.
