This theme encourages entrants to consider how they can help shape the world of tomorrow, focusing on the changes they'd like to see in society. Here's a detailed overview of the themes and formats accepted for this competition:
- Social issues to explore Participants are invited to choose a specific topic that reflects their desire for change in areas as varied as the environment, urban planning, the family, health, education, work, or issues specific to Africa. These topics offer a wide range of possibilities for tackling important issues such as pollution, access to education, intergenerational relations and African cultural identity.
- Central question : Reflection should focus on two main areas. First, identify why the chosen topic requires change, by highlighting current issues. Secondly, propose concrete, innovative solutions to meet these challenges, illustrating how everyone can become an agent of change.
- Participation formats : In order to embrace the diversity of talent and means of expression, the competition accepts several formats:
- Writings : articles including top 5s, opinion pieces, surveys/reports, or fact-checking/detox, with a length ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 signs.
- Audiovisual podcasts and videos up to 2.5 minutes long, for dynamic, accessible expression.
- Visuals The photo series, accompanied by presentation and caption, or press cartoons, provide a space for artistic expression and social commentary.
- Tips for participants We recommend that you focus precisely on your chosen topic, and concentrate on proposing concrete solutions. The quality of the production is paramount; participants are encouraged to take the necessary time to refine their work, whether by careful rereading in the case of written texts, checking the quality of sound and editing for videos, or the relevance of captions for photos.
