Bidding portal opens for volunteers for the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris
The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games organizing committee has just announced the opening of its dedicated volunteer application portal. Interested parties can submit their applications from from March 22, 2023 to the beginning of May 2023. The Paris 2024 volunteer program is a unique opportunity to live an unforgettable experience and contribute to the success of this global sporting event.
To keep up to date with the latest news and not miss out on any opportunities linked to the Games, we recommend that you join the Paris 2024 Club. Selected volunteers will have the chance to take part in various missions and be at the heart of the action during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The missions of Team Paris volunteers
The volunteers in the Paris Team of Games Volunteers will be responsible for providing an exemplary welcome to visitors, supporting the organization of the Games and contributing to Paris' reputation. The volunteers' missions fall into six categories:
- Welcome, orientation and assistance for spectators, participants and stakeholders.
- Support for sports operations.
- Operational support for the organization.
- Audience support.
- Support for medical services.
- Ceremony support.
Volunteers will be deployed in public spaces, in particular around train stations, metro stations, festivity sites, tourist sites and near the Olympic and Paralympic venues in Paris.
Volunteer eligibility criteria and commitment
To become a volunteer, you must be at least 18 years of age on January 1, 2024talk French or English and be available for at least 10 days during the Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games or both. Volunteers will not be paid, but will benefit from free public transport and meals provided by the City of Paris.
Volunteer training and mission preparation
Selected volunteers will receive training starting in spring 2024. This will initially take place online, then at the mission sites as the Games approach. The training will cover the Olympic and Paralympic Games environment, the specificities of the missions, discovering the deployment sites and meeting other volunteers and the management team.
The bidding process to become a volunteer for the Paris 2024 Games
Launch of online applications
People interested in becoming volunteers for the Paris 2024 Games can apply online on the dedicated volunteer portal from March 22, 2023 until the beginning of May 2023. During this period, you can submit your application and fill in a form that will take around 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

Analysis and selection of applications
From May to September 2023, Paris 2024 will review all applications received. Depending on the mission to which Paris 2024 refers the candidate, an invitation for an interview and/or completion of a self-assessment questionnaire to confirm language levels may be sent. Please note that this stage is not planned for all missions. The decision on the application will be announced in autumn 2023.
