Since the Governor began keeping statistics on the subject, there have never been so many immigrants on the Quebec job market. In his État du marché du travail québécois en 2021, we learn that the number of employed immigrants in Quebec stands at 818,700, the highest level since statistics on this subject were made public in 2006.
From 2011 to 2021, their number of jobs rose by 327,000, while that of non-immigrants fell by 72,000, according to Luc Cloutier-Villeneuve, an expert in labor statistics at ISQ. In ten years, the proportion of immigrants in overall employment has risen from 12.4 % in 2011 to 19.2 % in 2021.
"You can see that the expansion of the labor market is mainly due to the contribution of immigrants. And we expect it to continue along the same lines as in previous years," says Cloutier-Villeneuve.

What's more, even recent immigrants have benefited from this trend. "There is growth in all categories, but it is particularly marked among those who arrived less than five years ago and those who have been here between five and ten years," says Cloutier-Villeneuve. In their case, the employment growth rate is 20 %.

Hello
We are an information and guide site etc... We don't recruit in Quebec or any other country...
We advise you to concentrate your research on government sites, job sites, etc., and to create a good CV, etc.
Comments on news sites won't help you... you can contact restaurants and hotels to see if they're looking for foreign workers in your field (cooking, hospitality, etc...). ) once you find a job, everything will be easy...
Employers don't usually take your family or social situation into consideration, or even the opposite... they're more interested in your skills. If you're unemployed in your own country... at least look for an internship to gain more experience and expertise... it will help you a lot to find a job later on.
